I’m a wife to Pete and mom to Jett, Gage, and Brewer. Those are my two favorite roles and since I no longer work outside the home I spend my days living life with three of my favorite people.
No, I am not trying for a forth baby in order to “get a girl”. That is the question most often asked of me. I am very content in the knowledge that God blessed my life by giving me three healthy, happy boys. (I have a niece to spoil, so I get my girl fix)
I love being organized, but hate to clean! I’m always up for trying a new recipe, especially if it is a dessert. Reading is my favorite past time and I almost always read fiction. I adore the beach. Diet Dr. Pepper makes me smile and ice cream is my favorite food. Every time we travel I treat myself to all the recent copies of Us Weekly. Sunday afternoon naps are my favorite. I am not very techy, but have great affection for my iMac. I believe I am the only resident in Nashville who can’t sing or play an instrument (I rock guitar hero). We try to live as green as possible. I’d love to learn how to knit. Eleven years married and still loving it. I am very blessed.
Hope that gives you some insight into who I am!

After having 3 boys, I used to hate that question about trying for a girl. When our 4th child ended up being a girl, many people then said, “Oh, you got your girl.” So we proceeded to have a 5th, who is a boy, and now I don’t get comments like that anymore…but this is a hard way to go about dispelling unwanted comments…ha,ha. Even though my house is turning into a boys’ locker room, I wouldn’t trade my boys for anything.
You have a beautiful family.

When I saw the video your husband posted today I just had to come and check out your blog.
We are trying to live as green as possible too and I learned to knit a few years ago by taking two classes at Michaels…one class to learn how to knit and one to learn how to finish the end of the scarf. I can still only make scarves and baby blankets but I don’t mind. Enjoying your blog. Many blessings, Tracey

Hi Brandi,
Thank you for your kind email response. I would have responded to your email directly however, my computer flagged it and deleted it before I had a chance to respond. SO SORRY!! I’d love to email you back without leaving all of my info here on your blog site. Can you please send me your email info once more? Once again, sorry. My husband ( a true Mac man) has all of our security settings on high, so some things that are safe end up being tagged unsafe and dumped into the never land of cyberspace before I can get to them. I look forward to hearing form you! Have an awesome day!

Loved reading this about you. We get asked the girl question all the time too. At first it would just irritate me but now it is no biggie. I am so grateful to have three boys that we can train and model Christ to on a daily basis.

Brandi,
Thanks for the invite when I move. I don’t know right now about a church. Eyebrows raised? Ask Pete. He can fill you in. I am coming house hunting in about 4 weeks. I would love if you and Pete and the boys could go to dinner. Brian Alexander/wife and the GiantIdiot/wife have been invited and accepted too. Let me know if there is a weekend ya’ll won’t be in town. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hey Brandi ~ thanks for showing my blog some love!
My girlfriend Julie & I discovered you & Pete through ‘Bring the Rain’. (Before that I knew very little about the blogging world. I must live under a rock, huh?.)
Following you guys & gals inspired me to create a blog of my own, as and easier route of keeping family & friends up to speed on the kiddos. Problem is that ‘my circle’ is apparently as ‘old school’ as I am….they keep EMAILING me comments after each posts. Cracks me up that I can’t teach these old dogs new tricks.
Thanks for the glimpses into your own world. Your family is adorable, entertaining, & inspiring. My husband & I so enjoy our time together at the computer catching up on it all. Even our kids have begun referring to Jett & Gage as if they know them
) Jett’s karaoke video got much play time @ the Marsh house….Syd & Nolan asked us to replay it for days!

I’m the very blessed mother of two WONDERFUL boys!! I think I was made to be a mother of boys, I really do. As for the question about trying for a girl… that trips my third nerve. Nope, nope, nope.

I love your blog. We have some friends who recently moved back to Nashville after blessing us with their presence here on the west coast for several years. I will mention your church to them. {Your husband’s blog is great, too!} God bless you!

I think I found your blog thru Bring the Rain. Regardless of how I got here… I love it! It is so encouraging (and fun) to read how another Christian mom is living life.
I tend to lurk and have just recently started pushing myself to leave comments – hopefully to share some of that encouragement back! And who knows, maybe even start new friendships.

I love, love LOVE your blog! I have two boys, and I get the “are you gonna try for a girl” thing. After our 2nd son was born, I thought we would for sure try for a girl years later, still being a young age. But truth is, having our sons 15 months apart (not planned!) was really hard on me, and our marriage.
Here it is almost 2 years later, and just the other day, I think God has given me the peace that this is it for us, our two boys…it just fits, and I wouldn’t want it any other way!

Hello~ I noticed a link from my blog to yours and as I read I was shocked at our similar tales. I am the mother of 3, one being a Gage (Gaige), I love Diet Dr Pepper like nobodies business, been married for 11 years and as happy if not happier than ever, stay at home mom and I so love guitar hero! Love what I have read thus far, I will keep reading~

Brandi,
I just found your site and can’t believe how similar our lives are. I have been married to a wonderful man for 13 years and have 3 amazing little boys – Bennett 9, Harrison 7 and Maxwell 4. I too get to stay home and care for them and get so tired of the “are you having a 4th for a girl” question. I love the Lord and try everyday to teach that love to my boys, I LOVE to try new dessert recipes, my favorite things to do is to sit on the beach reading a good book and watching my boys play with their daddy and I always buy People magazine when I travel. Thanks for sharing your life and I look forward to reading your blog more. Also, what kind of puppy do you have? We have a 6 month old Labradoodle and thought yours may be one too from the pic I saw?
Blessings, Laura

Someone asked me the other day if I was going to try for a fourth boy. I thought that was cute.

I am also in the 3 boys club. My sons are Marcus, Dino and Hayden. I have been married for 10 years. I also get asked when are we gonna try for that little girl. I wouldn’t mind having another but I would be happy with a healthy baby boy or girl. Life sure is interesting with all boys!!
