Following the Compassion Bloggers trip has been so much fun. I’ve loved learning about the trip from so many different perspectives. And I’ll have to admit I laughed when I read this post by Melissa. She basically shared that Pete had become a friend of the porcelain on the trip and felt the only two items needed to minister in India were toilet paper and your bible!

What made me laugh even harder is while describing how sick Pete was she said “he actually passed out during one of the home visits.” It’s so entertaining that my husband (whom I had twittered with repeatedly during his illness) conveniently “forgot” to mention he’d passed out… however I’m kept abreast of the situation via another blogger. I’m quite thankful for all this technological communication!
And switching gears… normally Pete wouldn’t touch my meatloaf with a ten-foot pole… but after the food experience he’s had the last few days I’m betting he’d clear this plate in about 30 seconds flat!

I’m already working on his Welcome Home menu.

poor pete…but international pooping makes great stories

Poor guy. Looks like he’s keeping his sense of humor about it at least. I bet he’ll be really ready for a home cooked meal when he comes back!!

Nothing says welcome home like a big juicy steak on the grill!
Corn on the cob, a baked potato, tossed salad and grilled Texas toast and a tall glass of sweet tea!

I always vote for Mexican food. But your meatloaf dinner looks good, too!
Praying for Pete and you!

Was wondering how you were holding up. Guess this post pretty much sums it up!
What a trooper you are married to, and what a strong mother and wife you are!
Thanks for sharing with us all!!

Oh poor Pete — I hate having those types of “issues” away from home. But I’m sure the reward is much greater than the pain.
And that meatloaf looks delicious to me!!! I’ll take Pete’s piece.

Oh no……didn’t know he passed out. I know you miss him and will be ready to have him home. 15 days away from my family was excruciating, but well worth it.

First of all… who doesn’t love meatloaf!?!? Crazy man.
And I’m sure the real reason he passed out was from all the excitement that was caused when he skyped with you without his shirt on. Good to know you still have that affect on him.

I’m so sorry Pete passed out but it’s pretty rich that you found out through another blogger!

A strange thing happened. I pulled up my own blog last night. I have a post on a sneak peek of a one-year session that I shot recently. Crazy thing is that the middle photo (there are 3), appeared to have been replaced by this photo of Pete with the toilet paper. Totally freaked me out! How did it get there? I closed the window and pulled up my blog again. Pete was still there, displaying his TP and bible in the middle of my post. Finally, I clicked on the photo and when it enlarged, it went back to my original photo that was there. It was really creepy! Then I started going through all the compassion bloggers sites to see who had posted that photo but could not find it. I finally discovered it here. Wild! I would love to know how that happened.

Hey Brandi,
I haven’t been blogging for a while – but I have been praying for you and Pete (and the team) and I hope that as they return he is totally healed and healthy. That is crazy that he has been so sick but I know that missions is so much more then “we” intend or sometimes over analyze and it will be amazing for us all to absorb their experiences over the next however long as he/they process through. I will keep praying for his re-entry and for you as you receive him back home.
