Heather had this great site on her blog the other day. It’s called Sproost and it helps you define your design style. Sproost has kept me quite entertained as I’ve done “design research” also know as killed time.
I’ve always thought my style is “Modern Cottage” and if you check out my results it seems I was quite right!!
What’s your home design style??

Love that site! I will be there often when we build our house I am sure!
I was Modern Elegance…I bet you anything Heath is something rustic! Oh…we will need some balance for sure in our house!

I think I’m going to have to check that site out. I love design, best class I ever took by accident.
My home design style? Whole big mess. I just pile everything everywhere and leave it til I need it.

Well, mine came out Wine Country. I hope that doesn’t indicate anything ominous.

I scored in between the Lodge and Southwest which is basically how my house is designed…..
now if they had cluttered and dusty, I would have gotten a perfect 100% score.
well, I do keep it clean, it just gets filled with stuff quick….and I’ve been told I have a comfortable home (which is a nice way to tell me that they know that they can put their feet on my coffee trunk without disturbing the mashed pile of Doritos)….and I always respond to feel free to stick their hand down in the couch for some spare change or maybe even a snack.
Fun site, btw…..I am going to bookmark it!

Figures. It said it couldn’t determine my style and wants me to take the quiz again. That is SO just my style. LOL

Cute site, thanks for sharing.
I’d have to classify our home as re-junked. After losing everything in a fire in ‘05 I didn’t want ANYTHING new…..so I’ve successfully filled what we re-built with nothing but ‘old’. Just wanted this to feel like ‘home’ once again.
Prayerfully one day I’ll have a ’style’ preference, we’ll see!
Blessings to you and yours today and always,
Kaye

40% wine country, 40% classic, 20% french electic. that is true – i love color, warmth, casual, and very eclectic.
wine country desc:
Tuscan sun, here we come! The Wine Country style reflects the feelings evoked by the seaside regions of Europe such as the South of France, Spain, Italy and Greece. The style manages to be both refined and casual, such that you can mix beautiful antiques with more rustic wrought iron or wood and the result is both sophisticated and cozy.
Furniture is large and comfortable, colors are bright and cheery, and regardless of the color palette the spaces almost always feel warm. You can easily translate the style into the perfect family environment but you can just as easily emphasize the more formal pieces and make your room the perfect adult getaway.

Wow… I’m surprised by mine (mostly because none of the photos I said I loved look like my house… and I love my house!).
60% nantucket style (I think they all remind me of being by the water… that would be a dream come true)
20% rustic revival
20% classic
But my current house? i’d say it’s pretty eclectic and a bit bohemian. But eclectic is the look when 98% of your belongings are hand-me-downs…

67% Contemporary & 33% Hollywood Couture.
I agree w/ it, but I also like a little Traditional furniture mixed in.
Cool website!

Traditional Country
Even if your backyard isn’t acres of farmland and you don’t actually have a cow out in the barn, your house sure brings you back to a time when that was the case for many.
You love spaces that feel casual and lived in. Furniture is practical and comfortable, and yet at the same time its very stylish. The best part of country style is how much it highlights collection and found objects. Antiques here, garage sale finds there and Aunt Milly’s hand-me-downs throughout. Unique items that used to serve very practical purposes are now on display, and their history seems to permeate the home. Each space in the home seems to invite friends and family to come in and stay a while. There is a true sense of home felt throughout.

Mine is Nantucket Style which means I love the beach. Since my house doesn’t have ANY of this in it, I guess I need to go and buy a beach house.
Wanna go halvsies?
