Let me just start off by saying… you’re gonna LOVE me for this one!
Last weekend we hosted a Father/Son Fantasy Football draft. If there is anything cuter than grown men playing pretend football, it is grown men teaching their sons how to play pretend football.
But this post isn’t about Fantasy Football… it’s about my absolute favorite football food. And since last night marked the beginning of the NFL season, I thought I’d show my hospitality and share!
Honestly, I don’t know why I only make these during football season, other than I’m a creature of habit.
Here’s the best news, to make these delectable little treats you’ll only need two ingredients! I obviously like recipes that are uncomplicated, effortless, and straightforward!
Start with these…
Who would have thought to put these two things together… a culinary genius, that’s who!
Then you do this…
Roll those suckers up and bake just like you normally would crescent rolls.
They come out and look like this…
And this…
Seriously… they’re finger-licking, lip-smacking, melt-in-your-mouth good!
An old college roommate brought this heavenly concoction back from her time spent in Boston. Upon first tasting I couldn’t believe I’d gone the first 28 years of my life without these. I’ve made them ever since… but only during football season!
Told ya you’d love this one!
What’s your favorite football treat?

I can not for the life of me figure out how this can taste, but I’m gonna give it a try. I’m a little concerned about Pete’s man crush! HA! But if my husband was gonna have a man crush Matthew McConaughey would definately be my first choice for him. Have a good weekend.

Interesting…I’ve never seen anything like that! My first thought (Before I seen your ingredients) you were making those mini sausages and crescent rolls…those are good to! You cut the crescent roll into 3 triangles and roll each mini sausage up then bake! You could have a whole meal with sausages and those Milky Way roll ups!!

Girl – there is not football season around here…I think I am the only mom of all boys that has not yet participated in this. I am sure that will all change as they get older, though! I will give this a try.

Oh my. Looks delicious, and a recipe even I can do.
My favorite football snack: mini blt’s. I mix a little mayo with real bacon bits. Put it on top of wheat thin crackers and top with a slice of roma tomato. Sometimes I add a spinach leaf, but I usually forget about that part.

That’s amazing. Now, if only I hadn’t given up sweets. lol Maybe I’ll start back. I’m a recovering Milky Way and Tootsie Roll-aholic.

Oh. My. I just spent most of last week somehow mentioning in every blog I wrote that my sweet tooth is totally acting up and I had nothing sweet in my house.
So, I know we don’t know each other all that well, but you just became my favorite person ever.
Now, could you run to the grocery store for me? Because I’m short two ingredients and I think I might need to eat that immediately. Thanks!

Brandi, I know you to be a very honest person and if you say they’re good then I will give them a try. But that just looks yucky to me!!
My fav football treat is my homemade chili and jalapeno/cheddar cornbread (if it’s cold out side).
My new (to be) favorite is your chicken pot pie recipe. But not the one you goofed on.

Yummmm! I can’t wait to try! Just wanted to say hey. My husband, myself and our little boy just moved here to Nashville a month ago and came to your church last weekend and LOVED it… We had already been to three other churches in three weeks and heard of Cross Point and wanted to give it a try. We are coming back this weekend and taking Andon (our son) to the Kid Stuff. (I think that’s what it’s called
) I’d love to meet you!

Ummm…WHY did I tell you I was warming the oven??? Just a tip for those of you who might try this. Make sure you don’t get the mini’s. You can’t put two of them together and get the same effect. And don’t get the ‘big and flaky’ rolls. Cutting them and rolling them out with a rolling pin doesn’t work that well. I don’t know how the boys ate them. I just couldn’t do it. I’ll try again, though. Our neighbor’s child was here and she told me officially, “They’re not supposed to taste like that.”

i have to say that this poat will add inches to my waistline that i can’t afford! i will however enjoy the reason for the expansion
we love hot wings. i make them both with and without the bones. i’ve not once had leftovers. we also eat my bruschetta. that has left overs sometimes, but it’s good on the salad that you have to eat for days because of the junk you ate on football night.
go eagles!!!!

I have never seen such a snack!!! Wow, and my husband’s from Boston too. I’ll have to make those this Sunday. I won’t tell anyone what’s in them. They will be so surprised!!
We are big pizza and wings fans. My husband is on 2 fantasy football teams, but he’s too serious about it to get the kids involved! ha. That’s a good idea to have a father son team though. Fun stuff!

That’s how I felt when I first heard of Fritos in chili (I’m from the north…what can I say?) Now I don’t do chili without ‘em!

I have never heard of this one….but I will try it! We make pigs in a blanket during football season with the same crescent roll pastries cut into strips and wrapped around the “little smokies” that you can find where the hotdogs are. I will let you know what we think about this new treat!

Jad went to the store with me today and just had to have these. So he is making them right now. They will probably join the football standards.
