I had mentioned how much I enjoyed making my kids’ birthday cakes and that maybe I should make a business out of cakes and cupcakes. Well, I filled my first order this week! Not sure if one order counts as a business, but here they are…

Obviously, they were for a golf themed birthday party. I need to work on my steady hand and my icing penmanship! It’s a start.

They look great! (And I’m hungry…). I have a sneaking feeling that a business may start before you even realize you’ve done it
Just saw on you Twitter sidebar about your dog; I’m really so sorry. I don’t know what I would do without my little companion. If you’re getting any of the faces from the boys that you’ve shown in your last few posts, I would totally be buying them Madden ‘09. And making them cupcakes.
Blessings on your day…

You did good, and should be proud of your first “official” order.
I would hope you found joy in your gift that day. I know they were grateful for your service.
*side note-I am so sorry about your dog. I lost my dog of 15 years last Sept. I had another dog in my lap 3 weeks later. It couldn’t take the place of Buster but it was a dog, an Australian cattle dog, a boy dog, all to honor my sweet Buster. I am an animal lover and it helped me and Addie out alot, we missed him dearly.

P.S.- So sorry to hear about your dog…it’s tough when you’ve had an animal for so long, they become part of your family.

Yum tam. That sounds sooo good. These look good, Brandi, and if you can do cakes and not want to ice the people around you when they interrupt your work, I’d say you are probably well-suited for the business!
Sorry about your dog. What a sad thing.

Are you serious? K, so my favorite favorite favorite thing ever are cupcakes!! Not joking. These look amazing. I love them! You did a great job and I am sure whoever they are for loved them too. I am totally not ashamed…but when we hang out, if you have cupcakes in hand, that will seal the deal in our friendship. Okay, silly me…I know that – that might be a bit presumptuous. Meaning you may not really want to be real-life friends with me…but in case you do, I like cupcakes. Just sayin. Yup.

Okay had to let you know. My son lost his tooth last night. When I read your blog about it I was SO thankful I had time before I would hit that hurdle. I’m God was laughing as I was. This past week was my son’s 1st day of school and he pulled his 1st tooth. I’m so hurting as a mom.
PS. love the cupcakes. I use to decorate cakes for a season and now love to do it for my kids. They’ve had some crazy ones.

Those look great and with Cindy’s sideline being cake design, I’ve seen a few. You have a real talent for it. Cindy says, frosting will fix almost anything. lol
When she has a big wedding, it really gets interesting in the Sircy house.

These were a BIG hit Brandi at Gentry’s birthday party. Everyone raved about them. Not only did they look great they tasted great!! It’s obvious they were made with love (the secret ingredient). I love your passion for baking while bringing joy and smiles to our families (I think that would make a great tag line for your business cards)!! Susie has great pics of the kids loving every bite!
I’ll be picking up the next dozen today for Gentry’s class! And, there will be many, many more orders. I already gave a hint to Charlie to order me chocolate cakes for Valentine’s Day!!!
THANKS again!

They look great ! for a steady hand try keeping your wrist and hand straight. While writing pull you arm down at the elbow or shoulder. Hope that makes sense. Keep up the good work.
