Here I go, I’ve given into my husband’s pressure and I’m blogging! Okay, maybe he didn’t “pressure” me, but strongly encouraged me as a way to journal for our family! But part of me still wonders…by the time my kids are old enough or even care about reading this, will we still be blogging or onto some other new technological trend? Who knows, but better late than never.
So tell me, why did you begin blogging? If you’re not a blogger, why not?

YEA! You did it! Why do I blog? Mostly because I am terrible at journaling and blogging comes easier for me. Also, because my family and friends are all over the country and blogging is the fastest and easiest way to keep everyone updated. I mean, look how you and I have reconnected since we started facebook and blogging? Can’t wait to watch your story unfold!

Welcome Brandi!!
I began blogging, as an outlet. I was a stay at home Mom with three kids, 4 and under. I needed a way to express my feelings , and it was also a way to keep our families (both sets living in different towns) informed of the daily activities going on with the children. The cool thing is that now my Mom and both of my sisters are blogging, and believe it or not, it has actually brought us closer together.
I’d like to think that I have “evolved” a bit as a blogger, joining groups like Thankful Thursday, and seeking to become more of a “voice” for women who may be struggling with the same things I do. But, when it all washes out, I am still blogging about what is going on in our lives, and a lot of that now is the awesome Church Planting journey we are on, and all of the wonderful people we are meeting as a result.
So excited you have decided to join us in the blogosphere!

Not a blogger and not sure why but I guess I don’t think I have enough interesting info to share with the masses. Plus, I’m lazy and don’t want another ‘chore.’ I’m glad there are bloggers though because I’ve gotten to where I read some of them to get to know others better. Maybe that’s what’s stopping me, I don’t want everyone to know my business. LOL!

Yay! So glad to see you did this!
I guess I started blogging mostly as an easy place to share pictures of the kids and my crafty projects. I know I don’t have tons of readers and love the idea of building community in this format, but I don’t think it’s something you can MAKE happen. So I try to keep my motives in check!

Hey Brandi,
Welcome to the blogging world…I just entered myself in March and have found out I really enjoy writing…who knew! I have 5 kids, 4 of which are boys. My daughter is the 4th. I’ve found that blogging has given me an outlet as well as another addiction…oh well
We’ve just recently started going to Cross Point in March…hmmm…coincidence??? and have really enjoyed Pete’s message.
Looking forward to catching your blog.

Welcome to the blogging world. I blog (few and far between) mostly to keep my family and friends that I left behind in my hometown updated with all the big things going on in my life.
There is a company where you can download their application from http://www.blurb.com and they will actually automatically feed your blog into a book format and for a reasonable price will print it. The download is free. You only pay for what you have printed and what you have shipped, so if we do move on from the world of blogging in a few years, but you want to savor the happenings of your family, this may be a way to do that!

I started blogging because for years whenever the question came up “If you could do ANYTHING, what would you do” my answer was always “I would write.” Blogging is my way of shedding years of insecurity and actually trying to do something about it. Since I started I’ve also found that it helps me to organize my thoughts and figure out what I’m really thinking and what really matters.

we started blogging b/c we thought we had some good and fun things to say to new parents and just people in general.
the jury is still out on whether we’ve said anything good and fun.

Hi Brandi. I found you on Heather Whittaker’s blog. I have been blogging only a few months. I swore I would never succumb but I did and I am now hooked. I love Franklin. We live in CA but my husband is from GA and used to work in Murfreesboro, TN. We thought we might move to TN and picked Franklin. It did not work out and we are in CA but I love it there. I think I have a high school friend who lives there. The McAllister’s, Lisa and Kirk….not assuming you know them but thought I would mention it just in case. Love your blog. Take Care, Lori Zimbardi

I too have three boys…. isn’t life crazy busy?!
My oldest just turned 4 last week.

Brandi welcome to the blogging world. Pete and I started reading each others stuff a few months back and I have to tell you, Pete’s got some good stuff. I’m hooked on wax.
Anyway, as a Children’s Pastor I appreciate your family’s stories and I look forward to hearing many more on both this site and withoutwax.
